Thanks for considering
becoming my patron!

Here’s the current lineup of rewards for Patronage I’ve set up.

You can pledge as little as just $1, if you just want to help out a little. Every bit WILL help.

Starting with pledging $2.00 or more per month,
you will become a subscriber to the Spilt Ink Patrons Club….

The Spilt Ink Patrons club.

For just two dollars a month or more, you’ll get a digital subscription to Revolver Quarterly, Therefore, Repent! Dream Life eventually too! And patron only blog and AV posts and deals!

As we reach the first few goals, this will expand to include more of my recent independent comics work, new digital zines just for supporters, partons only AV content and tutorial posts. Patron’s will also be invited to suggest things. I like the idea of inviting you all to help shape the content of what the members club is.

Check out the goals for details. All patrons will be thanked in one issue of Revolver, on youtube, and in the podcast unless you wish to be anonymous.

Pledge $8.00 or more per month

Postcards from Montreal!postcardbackth1.jpg

Along with the expanding digital rewards Spilt Ink patrons at or over this level will get a postcard from me twice a year! Around New Years and Summer Solstice is my plan. Featuring a new image and a personal message of thanks at minimum! Kind of want to have some fun with the postcards, so this idea will probably evolve. I’m not the greatest letter writer, but I do like doodling and making stuff. 🙂

For now it’ll be printed image on one face, with a handwritten ‘note’ on the back! The images here are some possible candidates from a set of postcards I already have made, new one’s will be added over time. I’m thinking there will be a default one for each mailing but you’ll have the option to request an alternate.

And you’re a Spilt Ink Patrons club member, so all the digital extras! Revolver Quarterly, Therefore, Repent! Dream Life eventually too! Patron only blog and AV posts! The club rewards will expand as my base does and we reach the first few goals.

You will be a much appreciated patron of the sequential arts! I’ll be thanking you on youtube, and in the podcast. You’re name will appear in Revolver for as long as you are a Patron, unless you request to be anonymous.

Pledge $15.00 or more per month

A Yearly Convention Sketch!

The sketch will be a looser, B&W generally, with tones probably, of pretty much anything you would like that i’m cool with drawing. A favorite character, your pet, my toes? 😉

Like all the art commission rewards, each commission can be sent to you, or a different recipient. So this can be an ongoing gift for yourself, another, or many others over time!

I’ll begin working on the your new sketch every 12 months, starting schedule permitting, 3 months from the date you first start supporting me at this level. So the one catch is you do have to stick around a little while to get this. But if you do it’ll be my pleasure dear patron! If you would like your sketch to be done in a sketchbook, you’ll have to ship that to me and possibly depending on the size and weight of the sketchbook, pay a bit extra for the return trip. This level of support from even a few patrons, will go some way to getting Revolver out regularly and help in a big way with all the rest of Spilt Ink.You will be a much appreciated patron of the sequential arts! I’ll be thanking you on youtube, and in the podcast. You’re name will appear in Revolver for as long as you are a Patron, unless you request to be anonymous.

And of course you’ll be a Spilt Ink Patrons club member, so all the digital extras, Revolver Quarterly, Therefore, Repent! Dream Life eventually too! Patron only blog and video posts. And a postcard as well!

Pledge $30.00 or more per month

Dynamic Drawing with Salgood Sam

Student Patrons!

If you’re an aspiring artist or illustrator, and would like this kind of quid pro quo, I’ll mentor you! To keep it worthwhile for both students and me, this will be a very limited availability patronage option and the schedule will be restricted. Available to just 15 patrons to start, about three hours a week in the form of online virtual classes via hangouts or skype for group classes, at a regular time. And an hour monthly one on one.

Student Patrons will get to join me via dedicated hangouts for talks about specific aspects of art; send me work for feedback and critique; and within reason help me shape and design what exactly this category will look like via suggestions and feedback along the way. I have some course ideas and workshops prepared already from my past teaching experience, but on principle, within my ability, what I teach and when exactly will depend on the students I get!

Some lessons will be based on those I teach at Syn Studioin Montreal for Dynamic Drawing, and the site will be tied into the course work often, acting as an online textbook and resource.

I’m interested in teaching session on making comics & narrative art too, and within my ability, exploring other areas of the arts, funding, promotion, and anything else that comes up that I’m able to offer any insights on. I have notions of presenting some guests at some point for students to talk to as well. But a lot of that I plan to leave open again, to what kind of students this opportunity brings.

Students are of course Spilt Ink Patrons club members, so all the digital extras, Revolver Quarterly,Therefore, Repent!Dream Life eventually too! Patron only blog and video posts. And a postcard as well!

A small group of regular dedicated students will be a welcomed way to fund a fair bit of this campaign. You will be a much appreciated patron of the sequential arts! I’ll be thanking you on youtube, and in the podcast. You’re name will appear in Revolver for as long as you are a Patron, unless you request to be anonymous. And for those of you who publish a comic or art site, I’ll post about it at least once! Student work may also end up being posted on Dynamic Drawing with their permission.

Thanks for considering supporting my work!
